Check out these sights from a small town called Croton On Hudson, NY.  I have been here this week shooting with my friends, Rick Sammon and David Leveen.

Here you can see an example of how Rick taught me a little about perspective.

I also learned how to take an out of focus picture :)

And here is a beautiful landscape.  I had to use the bridge to sturdy my camera because I didn’t have a tripod with me, adapt and overcome right!?  The blue added a nice night time feel, so I decided to keep the color that way.  I also added some texture around the edges.

Rick is a great teacher!  Go check out his blog here to learn more about him.

After our visit to Black Mountain, NC, Mike and I stayed with my grandmother in Franklin, NC.  Here are a few images I shot to showcase what we saw while we were there.

This image was taken from my Grandmother’s balcony.  What a view!view from Grandmas's balcony

I have a soft spot for trains because my dad loves them so much.IMG_2311

This landscape was found just outside of Franklin, on our road trip back to Florida.IMG_2404

While spending some time at the beautiful Ridgecrest campus in Black Mountain (Asheville) North Carolina for the Gideon Christian Media Conference, I was able to capture a few little details of what made the place special to me (other than the mountains and wonderful people, of course). I really felt at home here.

Amber & Kyle

At the last reception I photographed, the DJ had these really cool lighting effects.  During the bride and grooms first dance, after I got the “needed” images, I was able to play around with only using available light.  With the lighting effects being so bright, I was able to pick them up in the image.  I had to make sure to drag the shutter so I could pick up the colors of the room and of the lights.  To me, this gets the feeling of their reception summed up in one image.

Rainy Days

Sunny Florida has not been so sunny lately.  It has been raining non stop for the past three days–desperately needed–but I miss the sun already! Here is a portrait to go with the mood of the week.  I have added more images to my portrait gallery.  Be sure to check ‘em out HERE.

This last weekend involved photographing a wedding for another studio called Thompson Studios. The wedding was held at the beautiful Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club just down the street from me.  The grounds behind their building is one of my favorite places to shoot because of the beautiful bridge and all the trees!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Cherissa and Josh’s wedding in Longboat Key. Even though I only met the bride on the day of their wedding, I felt like I had known her for a long time! She was so calm, fun, and easy going! They live in California where the bride’s family is, but had a very simple, small, romantic ceremony here in Florida for the grooms family and friends.

New Album Designs

Album Design 02

Album Design 01

I am proud to say that I can now offer two different type of album design styles! One style has a more simplified story telling design style. It has a classic look with clean edges, special borders, and faded background images. The other style is more of an edgy type of album design using image effects and fun textures to create a storybook look. These designs tend to fit three to five images per spread. Let me know which one of these pages you like more!
