Usually when I see a Rainbow I am in my car on my way home from somewhere, wishing I had my camera with me so I can get pictures of it. Instead I try to use my cell phone camera while driving – not good. Yesterday, I saw this big beautiful rainbow while I was driving home. With not being to far from home, I bravely sped through our cop infested sub division so I could get home to my camera before the rainbow decided to go back into hiding, only to laugh at me again until its next appearance. At approximately 7:02pm, I skidded into my parking spot, ran upstairs to our condo, busted in the door to find my husband with a big smile saying “did you see that rainbow!? Are you going to get… hahaha! I thought so!” as I ran into our office to grab my camera. Yes! I finally made it in time to get a picture! This is the view of the rainbow as it arched over our lake. This image is actually compiled up with 10 photographs that were taken and stitched together to make this panoramic view, thanks to magic of the photomerge tool and the use of some of my photoshop skills. And that, fellow photographers, is why we should always keep a camera in our car.

This weekend was a wet one in the St. Petersburg, FL area. When I went to photograph a beach wedding, for CHI Photography, I was hoping for the best. The bride and groom were such great sports as the rain started to come down 15 minutes before their ceremony time, and it didn’t stop. They were still so very happy and had a beautiful ceremony on a covered patio with their parents and brothers and sisters.
I love this picture because it shows the excitement on the brides face as she and her step mother works on her crazy hair.
She had such a beautiful simple dress, perfect for a wet beach wedding!
Here you can’t tell, but it is already raining outside.
The best thing is, is that they played along with the weather!
Congratulations you guys!!
Saturday’s wedding gave us the challange of rain. Working around it, we were able to quickly grab a few shots outdoors in between showers. This wedding was photographed with Stacey from Alexis Photography. It was so fun working with her and with the bride and groom! They and their families really made us feel like part of the gang. Congrats Tracey and Luis and thank you for being such great sports!
This hallway was great!! It was one long narrow hallway, so when Tracey and her bridesmaids went there to bustle her dress, I had to grab a few shots.
